A multi-dimensional and longitudinal pilot project introduced at the University of South Australia in 2009 is aimed at gathering information about the experiences and aspirations of rural school students, rural school leavers who defer their university study and rural students who study at UniSA. The project is an holistic, five-stage longitudinal approach to encouraging greater participation, retention and success amongst rural and remote students in higher education and encourages educated rural students to return to their communities as part of their studies.
